OnePlus released the first OxygenOS 11 stable update for the OnePlus 6 and 6T in August of this year. With this update, the device has moved to Android 11, including the July 2021 Android security patch and introducing some enhancements. However, users who have updated to this build have reportedly faced serious battery drain issues and other glitches on their devices. OnePlus is currently deploying another stable OxygenOS 11 update for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T to address these bugs.
According to a recent announcement at the OnePlus Community Forum, OxygenOS 126.96.36.199 has been rolled out to OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T as the latest stable release based on Android 11. This build addresses some of the bugs found in the original Android 11 update. Raise the security patch level for Android to September 2021.
