The Samsung security patch is available internationally for the Galaxy S20 series in August 2021

Every month, Samsung starts working on security patches, allowing us to flip through one or two days before the calendar – just like a week or so, consolidating its position as the king of updates. After gaining this initial lead, Samsung is still releasing its August patch for more and more Galaxy smartphones internationally.

We started with the Galaxy A52 – it may be a mid-range phone, but that hasn’t stopped Samsung from regularly updating, and this month it will be charged as the first device to receive the August 2021 security patch.

These changes were very sparse and only mentioned the usual vague fixes and improvements. The update was seen in several countries, including Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.

Samsung quickly tracked the August patches for several other A-series phones, including the A8 and A72. And it didn’t take long for us to see it bring a first patch for the Galaxy S21, starting in China.

Distribution should spread rapidly to other areas and devices over the next few weeks, and we will update this article with all relevant information.
