Google is working to improve YouTube Music and bring it out of the shadow of its predecessor, adding new features and modifying existing features. Google is currently testing a library tab to help you find the music you are looking for, but there are limitations to using it in your current coverage.
The Reddit PeepAndCreep user notices a new tab, and tapping it after typing a search will show all the results for your library. Sorry, only shows music from YouTube Streaming. Uploaded items are not shown here, which severely limits their usefulness for many users.
Taping an artist from here will take you to the “In My Library” page for that artist, while tapping the album will show it in full, even if only one or two tracks are saved. Have.
Official YouTube Playlists, playlists created by other users, and playlists that you did not create yourself are also not displayed on this tab. In my opinion, this is a significant monitoring. My wife and I have several playlists in common, and the fact that the search filter only shows these to one of us is disappointing.
For now, this seems like just a server-side test, so Google hopes to further improve the experience before making it more widely available to users.
New download tab
In addition to the Library tab in the server-side preview above, at least one Reddit user has seen a “download” tab in the YT Music search interface. Interestingly, this seems to replace the library tab for the Reddit JettyMarc11 poster (found by 9to5Google).
Neither downloads nor library search filters are yet widely available to the general public. This seems like another experiment, so don’t overdo it.
